About Us
Vanessa and Brittany are both CPAs by trade, former team captains of their college soccer teams and quickly advanced in their business careers as people leaders. Throughout their careers, they have led a variety of teams and built their leadership skills by trial and error. They developed practical processes and tools that can help managers grow in their positions as people leaders. Vanessa is now a Managing Director of a successful mid-sized business and Brittany is a Director within a Fortune 500 corporation.
At On Three Solutions, our goal is to help others obtain and grow in leadership roles. We believe there is a lot of “untapped” leadership potential in our society. However, there is a lack of resources available to learn how to build a solid foundation as a leader, which has a lot of people shying away from leadership roles, or leaving it up to “learning on the job”…which could take YEARS of trial and error. Trust us, we know from experience. This is why our focus is on providing practical and actionable tools and guidance to others, to significantly reduce the learning curve to becoming an effective leader.
Vanessa Grothaus
Vanessa is the current Managing Director of a mid-sized company in Phoenix and attributes so much of her leadership growth to the chairman of her company, Gail Richardson. Gail is a long time entrepreneur who has always emphasized the value of people and Vanessa has learned so much from him and continues to seek his wisdom for her own personal growth. She has both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Accounting and maintains an active CPA license. Vanessa is married to her college sweetheart Michael and they have four adorable children. Elizabeth is 9 years old, Benjamin is 6, Gabriel is 5, and Victoria is 2. Her husband is a high school teacher and basketball coach. While Vanessa enjoys the business she runs, she feels like her true calling and the thing she is most proud of in her life is being a mother to her kids. Being a mother is the hardest leadership role she has ever had but also the most rewarding. “I love showing my kids what it means to work hard and treat people well. We take nothing with us when we leave this life so it’s important to leave your mark on people while you are here.”
Brittany Young
Brittany’s leadership knowledge and expertise was formed as a psychology major and, after college, she quickly realized just how much of leadership is driven by an understanding of human behavior. With that foundation and after obtaining her Master’s in Accounting & Financial Management, Brittany intentionally sought opportunities to lead teams in various settings throughout her career, nerds out to leadership books/podcasts/articles and will never stop asking for feedback on how she can be a better leader because you learn something new every time you ask.
Brittany currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. In her free time, she doesn’t choose between being left- or right-brained and enjoys a good problem/game to solve as much as she does releasing her artistic/creative side in water coloring a floral arrangement. She likes a good glass of wine with both (white, red, or rose—she does not choose favorites). Brittany also enjoys exploring new restaurants, any opportunity to get endorphins flowing and spoiling Vanessa’s children (her nieces and nephews).
